As the St. Martha Athletic Director and 4th– 8thgrade PE teacher, my job will be to provide each SMCS student with an opportunity to participate in activities that will foster physical skills, a sense of self worth and competence, a knowledge and understanding of the pleasures of sports, daily exercise and the principles of fair play and Christian sportsmanship.
My expectations are for each student to put forth their best effort in each class in a safe, responsible and respectful manner. Having a positive attitude will help enable your student to receive the benefits of each days lesson.
The middle school students will be expected to come to class in their appropriate class attire. They are required to wear the SMCS sanctioned PE uniform. If you do not have one, please look for the order form that was sent home with your child. If you need a new one, they are in the office. There will be a grace period at the beginning of each school year in order for the uniforms to come in and be distributed. After all students have received their PE uniforms, each student will be held responsible for being prepared for class. If the student is not prepared (dressed appropriately and on time) the student will not be allowed to participate in the daily activities, and will therefore receive a “O” for their daily participation grade.
I am looking forward to opportunity that I have been given to work with your children as their PE Teacher.
You may email me at any time, snyderp@stmarthacs.org or call 281-358-5523 x 315.
May God bless you and your family,
Mrs. Paula Snyder
